As always, our NZ condition monitoring neighbours put on a fantastic event showcasing exactly what condition monitoring and reliability engineering can achieve. During the initial Awareness Day, attendees got to spend time using and engaging personally with the products themselves. On hand to educate and assist the awareness day participants, was Tom Murphy from SDT Ultrasound hardware.
Tom is an expert in the fields of vibration, ultrasound, thermography and more. Tom’s style of introducing ultrasound to condition monitoring applications was a 1st for the VANZconference, and was a resounding success.Tom also presented 2 x papers at VANZ. Paper number 1 covered 6 of the 8 pillars of ultrasound monitoring applications such as;
Electrical inspection,
- Compressed Gas leak detection/location,
- Hydraulic system inspection,
- Tightness testing,
- Steam trap inspection
- Valve inspection
Paper number 2 covered the other two pillars of ultrasound monitoring;
- Lubrication inspection and
- Acoustic vibration monitoring.
The papers were very well received and acclaimed by the VANZ attendees.
GVS Reliability Products would like to personally thank the, conference participants, the VANZ committee and the support of the other vendors for making such a wonderful conference a reality.
Keep up the good work. See you in 2017!
