GVS Reliability Products was proud to once again support the fantastic VANZ conference last month. This years’ conference was held in Rotorua, New Zealand and was the 29th year this non-profit organisation has successfully held this wonderful event.
Awareness Day was very well attended, it was pleasing to see such a high number of apprentices being exposed to what condition monitoring and reliability engineering can achieve.
John Lawrence presented a paper which discussed acoustic vibration and how this is applied to routine lubrication monitoring. The paper covered how listening when lubricating, allows the lubrication tech to monitor the changing condition of the bearing noise ensuring the correct amount of grease is delivered minimizing the potential for over-greasing and its associated problems.
The standard of papers delivered was excellent, there were lots of case studies and were very well received and acclaimed by the VANZ attendees.
This year’s Conference Dinner was held on a Paddle Boat on Lake Rotorua which turned out to be a great night as the ship was crewed by the members of Faulty Towers. The interaction of Basil and Manuel kept everyone amused.
GVS Reliability Products would like to personally thank the, conference participants, the VANZ committee and the support of the other vendors for making such a wonderful conference a reality. Keep up the good work.
Thanks to everyone who stopped by our stand for a chat and view our product range, hopefully we’ll see you again in 2019 for the 30th anniversary!
