We here at GVS Reliability Products are often asked by our customers and contacts to come up with solutions to make their lives just that little bit easier. “Can you adjust this?” “Can I have a different material?” etc… In this post, we mention a few of the small things that GVS has developed in partnership with our clients.
Due directly to customer feedback, GVS have expanded their already wide range of mounting solutions to include a GluMag (magnetic based) mounting pad to make instalations much easier.
In the base of the GluMag pads, small low strength magnets have been inserted. This helps hold the pad to the bonding surface so there is no standing around with your thumb on a pad waiting for glue to dry.
In addition to this, we have developed isolation studs, motor fin pads, customized accelerometer targets, rare earth magnets for routine data collection, high strength magnets for permanent installations, and much much more. Have a look at our range by clicking here.
Not every technician or accelerometer installation team has the time to run critical vibration data cable in protective conduit. The problem with this is, once an accelerometer cable becomes damaged, the sensor and it’s vital information become worthless.
So, in discussion with our contacts, the HS-AC254 was developed. The AC254 series cable comes pre-fitted with a protective sheath/conduit surrounding the precious accelerometer data cable. The sheath is a hydraulic hose armoring that has been designed for harsh mining environments. The hydraulic hose outer is there to protect a standard accelerometer cable inside and keep it from the harsh and abrasive conditions you normally find on a plant.

Following feedback from a condition monitoring team, GVS have developed a data collector cable to cover; a routine 2pin accelerometer and a standard BNC socket for a connection or switch box.
The HS-AC246 and HS-AC245 have dual breakout options so that the technician in charge can connect to either a 2 Pin MS socket or a BNC plug. Click here for the data on the HS-AC246 and click here for the data on the HS-AC245.
With the development of this cable, technicians can carry one master cable with two breakout options meaning ; access to either collection point with one ease to use cable, time saving, carrying less equipment.

GVS Reliability Products offer a large range of Hansford enclosures designed to house terminations of accelerometers and other vibration monitoring equipment. After speaking with many of our customers about the types of environments that their enclosures are installed in, and the problems experienced with existing design and material, it became apparent that for the Australian market, we needed something specific.
GVS then contacted Hansford Sensors with the issues at hand. Working as a team and together with the customer, a solution was conceived.
The solution; The HS-SR.
The HS-SR is a robust stainless steel enclosure with a seal rating of IP66 and designed with a slanted roof. Happy with GVS Reliability Products ingenuity, the HS-SR was then trialled by numerous customers with fantastic analysis fed back to GVS and Hansford Sensors.
